Why Cookies
You are not obligated to enable cookies. All of the original functionality of pdaPortal is still available. However, if you decide to enable cookies, you will be able to customize pdaPortal for you, including the ability to bookmark your favorites links, store your stock portfolio, store your zip code to check your weather and local movies with a single click, and more. Give it a try!
How to Enable Cookies
First of all, refresh the pdaPortal web page on your browser. My logic will detect cookies only on the second time you open a page (any page) in pdaPortal. If that does not change the message at the top, then pdaPortal believes your browser does not have cookies enabled.
There are hundreds of different browsers out there and, unfortunately, we cannot provide you with specific instructions on how to enable cookies on your browser. Try looking under "Options" or "Preferences" or something similar.
Palm OS 3.5
Palm OS 3.5 does not support cookies. Sorry.
If It Does Not Work
If your browser options tells you that cookies are enabled and pdaPortal is telling you that cookies are not enabled, please try clearing your cache and deleting existing cookies.
Treo 600
If pdaPortal is telling you that you need to enable cookies and you find that they are already enabled, it probably means that your Cookies database is corrupted, and you'll need to fix it. Don't worry: it's easy. You will need to delete your cookies database. The next time you launch the web browser, a new, uncorrupted database will be created.
